Happy Halloween

Hey!

Happy Halloween to you all. Even though we don't celebrate this in my country I always decorate my living room and send Halloween cards to my family since my fathers passing on Halloween 2007. I can't believe it's 11 years.

Here's a stand and slide card I made using a fun image called "Amelia Curiosity" from Heather Valentin. These cards are so simple to make. I made one ages ago and thought it would be nice to let Amelia float on a piece of sturdy plastic from a embossing folder packaging. I added my favourite bats die cuts from a Cuttlebug cut & embos spider and bats set and I added the spider as if it is coming from inside the stand. The cardbase is made from purple cardstock and I used some pieces of scrap Halloween paper.

LSS - Bookworm Gothie of the Kryptt

Hey!

Here's a Halloween lollipop card I created with one of the gorgeous images by Heather Valentin from Lacy Sunshine.

The image is called "Bookworm Gothie of the Kryptt" and I colored it using Promarkers and fuzzy cut it.
These cards are so easy and fun to make. I took 3 strips of double side designer paper of 12x2 inch and scored on every 1/2 inch. Then I folded it accordion style and adhered the end together to form a circle. Puched the circle down and created the width I wanted and ahered a big circle die cut with hot glue on top so it stayed the size I wanted it. After that you can add all the items you want. I added black netting from garlic bulbs (love to recycle), bat die cuts, gem stones, black doily, glitter swirls, paper straw, black tule ribbon and purple sentiment using a dymo letra embossing tag.

PFP - Mauzolina

Hey!

Today starts a new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers. This week it's themed Spots & Stripes and our sponsor is Dies to Die for and the prize is a £15.00 voucher.

I have chosen to make a Halloween card using Lacy Sunshine's Mauzolina from the Tombstone Darlingz Collection, by Heather Valentin. I colored the image with Promarkers in the cool grey tones and a gorgeous green combo. This card is shaped using a Dutchdoobadoo template. The dp is from a freebie digi paper pack that I printed. The bats are die cuts from a brandless set, the moon is made with a circle punch, the tombstone is cut freehand, the grass is from a die by Precious Marieke and the pumpkins are made with a Halloween Fence with Pumpkins die from Precious Marieke. All edges are distressed with Walnut stain distress ink and on the bats I used white ink.

Witchy Sprite's Haunted Forrest

Hey!

Here's a new Halloween project I made using a lovely digital image from the one and only Heather Valentin, artist and owner of Lacy Sunshine Stamps.

The image is called "Witchy Sprite's Hauted Forest" and I colored it using Promarkers. This time I created a purple pumpkin instead of always the traditional orange. The pumpkin is created using the large oval shaped die from Xcut that I cut 3 times and paper pieced it into a pumpkin shape and the stem is cut freehand. I distressed the edges using grey, white and black ink. Instead of adding leaves I used black feathers, added purple lace ribbon, silver floss with a pumpkin charm, underneath the lace is a black spider peaking. Other items used; fence with pumpkins die I did some paper piecing with (1x black, 1x purple and added a piece of yellow scrap cardstock behind the pumpkin faces), bat dies, black gems and I created spots on the big purple  pumpkin using a white gelpen.

Harriet - Witchy Ride

Hey!

Today starts a new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers. Donna has chosen this weeks theme "Anything Goes". Our sponsors are The Paper Shelter and Crafty Sentiments Designs.

I got to play with Crafty Sentiments Designs' Harriet - Witchy Ride and created this card with a 3D view. The image is colored using Promarkers I had to create a Halloween card as I want the big bat to fly out of the middle using a piece of sturdy plastic. Other items used; white, black, yellow, grey for the tombstones that I cut freehand and brown cardstock, an old sizzix Tree die, mini leaves die, leaves digi papers, magnolia doohickey fence die, cuttlebug bats die, circle punch to create a full moon, white ink and distress ink.

We don't have Halloween in my country, but ever since my father died 10 years ago on Halloween I make cards to send to my family to honor my dad.

Pumpkin Stash

Happy Halloween!!

Today is not a fun day for me, as my dad died on Halloween 2007. But I don't want to be sad and want to honor my father and think of fun memories. We don't celebrate Halloween in my country but ever since my father died I decorate my home and make little projects and send my family Halloween cards.

This time I made a little pumpkin box using a svg file from MyScrapChick and the gorgeous Pumpkin Stack image from Jennifer Nilsson Art. The image is colored with Promarkers and I fussy cut it with a kraft knife. I use this fun little pumpkin box for small hard candy and it will be part of my Halloween decoration every year.

Rory Witches Brew

Here's a Halloween card I made using Lacy Sunshine's image called Rory Witches Brew, Did you know there are already 25 Lacy Sunshine coloring books available at Amazon?

The image was released as Secret Garden Club of the Month Image. (There ar so many lovely Halloween images in the store) I colored her with Promarkers and used some fab Halloween dp  from Echo Park (Chillingsworth Manor). You can find the colors I used on the Recipe Card.

Medusa Honey

Happy Friday! Oh my time flies. Today is another Flashback Friday at Sassy Studio Designs. This week Medusa Honey is featured.

I had created this card a while back with another Medusa image, so had to create it again because I love how it came together with my designed snake border. The image is colored with Promarkers. The cardbase is cream linen cardstock I used some scraps of design paper and a piece of black linen cardstock. The sentiment came from the internet.

Pumpkin Cat

Hey!

Here's another pumpkin card I made. Just love to make them.

The image is called Pumpkin Cat by My Whimsical Little World. Don't you just love this cute cat?
It's colored with Promarkers. I made the pumpkin using a Xcut oval nesting die and the little pumpkin is made with a oval nestability. The stem and black cat are cut with my Cameo and the little flourish is a die from Joy Crafts. I the sentiment is made with my Dymo Label Writer. Love to use that thing.

Flashback Friday - Wanda

Hey!

It's Friday and that means a new Flashback Friday at the Sassy Studio Designs blog.
This week this gorgeous retired image called "Wanda" is featured and she will be available in the SSD shop with a huge discount. So if you want her, now is your chance before she disappears from the shop again.

I colored the image with Promarkers and I found a gorgeous photo on the internet that made a perfect background. The cardbase is made out of white linen cardstock and I used scraps of purple and black cardstock as a big mat on top of the card. Underneath the image I added e piece of lime cardstock. Love that bright color. The die cuts are from Joy Crafts and I used a Dymo Label Tag and glitter letter stickers for the sentiment. To finish the card I added 2 big lilac gemstones.

Frankenstein

Hey!

I am so excited!! Paola asked me if I wanted to join the My Whimsical Little World DT and I didn't have to think about it. I love her artwork.

Here's my card featuring Frankenstein. Isn't he cute? He is colored with Promarkers. When I saw this image I had to use this card shape and create a tombstone. I used a piece of scrap halloween digi paper by Tracy Wray that I had laying around. I made a pumpkin out of oval die cuts and the carved pumpkin is also a digi from MWLW and is part of another stamp that I will show you in two weeks.

Monster Mash

Hey!

There's a new challenge at the Lacy Sunshine blog. This fortnight the challenge is themed Monster Mash (Creepy cute for Halloween or Harvest).

I got to play with this cute image called "Figdet's Purrfectly Scary Fun". I colored it with Promarkers. I love to make pumpkins with nesting dies and so I did it again. The sentiment is made with a Dymo Letra Tag and the black doily is a die cut from a Cheery Lynn die. The little black cats are also die cuts and the little black spider too. The stem is cut freehand out of a piece of scrap cardstock and I traced the leave in Silhouette Designer Studio. Love the pumpkin charm dangling on some white twine.

Pumpkin Tag Card

Hey!

Is it October already? Oh my, time flies. Well it's the 1st of the month so that means a new challenge at CCC Digi Creations. This fortnight it's themed "Tag it!" Our sponsor is Stitchy Bear's Digi Outlet.

I got to play with this gorgeous image called "Moonlite Pumpkins". It's colored with Promarkers.
I didn't want to use an ordinary tag so I created a pumpkin tag with oval dies. The stem is cut freehand and I punched a hole in it so now it's a tag. Lol... The black doily is made with a Cheery Lynn die and I made the sentiment with my Dymo Letra Tag. The leaf was found on the internet and I traced and cut it with my Cameo and I added a pumpkin charm to finish it.

After Dark

 Hey!

It's Thursday and that means a new DTBST challenge at Sassy Studio Designs. For this week the challenge is themed "After Dark" (Create a project that is dark, yet sassy).

I created a card using the image called Wicked Frame (discontinued) and colored her with Promarkers. The card base is made out of white linen cardstock. And I used a embossing folder to create a background. The piece of circle cardstock is black pearle, it has a nice shimmer, is embossed with a spider web embossing folder. I used black and white ink to show the embossing bits. The witches hat and spiders are Quickutz die cuts.

Today I made a Halloween card using FTHS Birdbrain Jack-o-Lantern and sketch #115 from i{heart} sketches and I also used the twist.

The image is colored with Promarkers. And for the background I used some lovely digi papers from the Trick or Treat paper pack by Tracy for the ArtbyMiRan facebook group. I love these papers. Gonna use them more often.

Here's my cauldron card that I made for this Mary Sanderson digi. When I think of her I always hear her say "I smell children", so I had to make this sentiment to go with the card. I colored her up with Promarkers and distressed the edges of the cauldron with white ink and the gooey stuff with walnut stain.

October Release Hop

Hey!

Welcome to a brand new SSD release blog hop. Lindsay made 4 brand new images. They are absolutely gorgeous.

I got to play with Sassy Demon and colored her with Promarkers. I made a shaped card (love this shape), added a piece of recycled corrugated cardstock on top of that I adhered a little piece of an old belt. The label is a post it note and the background behind the image is plain copy paper that I smudged with fired brick distress ink.
