Ambrose King of the Road

We're halfway the month so there's a new challenge over at CCC Digi Creations. This fortnight we have our first sketch challenge. We have 2 sponsors Dr. Digi's House of Stamps and DigiStamps4Joy.

I got to play with "Ambrose King of the Road" from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps and colored it with Promarkers. I like the sketch, it was a challenge for me. To create the card I used kraft cardstock, masculine background cardstock, walnut stain distress ink, a Dutch birthday sentiment and I made 2 traffic signs.

Delightful Daphne

 Hey!

Here's a card I made using a lovely image from ArtbyMiRan. It's called "Delightful Daphne" and she's colored with Promarkers. Love this image. Feels like spring.

I found this lovely sketch and decided to play with it. I used 2 border dies from Noor Design, a butterfly die from Joy Crafts and a pop up butterfly- and doily border punch from Martha Stewart. I punched out some butterflies and made 2 flowers using punches.
The background papers are from a gorgeous digital paper pack designed by Tracy Wray called Pink and Blue.

Gift Stack Birdbrain

Surprised Birdbrain

Hey!

Today I made this card using my favorite character called Birdbrain from FTHS. Love that chick.
I used sketch #135 from i {heart} sketches with a twist (add some nature)

The image is called "Surprised Birdbrain" and it's colored with Promarkers. I used some dp that is pretty old, but never ever used it and 2 strips of scrap paper. Like how it turned out. Didn't add a sentiment because this image can be used for more than one occasion.

Snowman Hugs

Hey!

Finally winter is coming. Well for this week we will have below 0°C. So I had to make a card with snowmen. I used sketch #134 from i {heart} sketches with a twist and an image from FTHS.

The image is called "Snowman Hugs" and it's colored with Spectrum Noir Markers. Behind the image I adhered 3 strips of scrap paper with dots and stripes for the twist. Also the scarfs work for the twist of the challenge.

Rather be Skiing Snowman

Hey!

Here's a card I made using sketch #128 with a twist from i {heart} sketches.

The image I used is from From the Heart Stamps and it's called "Rather be Skiing Snowman". I colored it with Promarkers and added snow and glitter to it. It's also matted on orange cardstock.
The 3 orange strips are embossed with a snowflake embossing folder and I used white ink to accent the raised snowflakes. To the snowflake punch outs I added a little orange gem.

Winter Friends

Hey!

Here's a card I made using i {heart} sketches Sketch #119 and FTHS image called "Winter Friends".

I used a digital background and colored the image with Promarkers. I used a snowflakes embossing folder on both the card and the blue mat. On the white card I debossed en on the blue mat I embossed and added white ink to the flakes. The little star is a die cut from Memory Box (Precious Stars). At the bottom of the snowman I created snow with white glitter snow.

Balloon Ride

Hey!

I made this card for my nephew's birthday using sketch #95 from i {heart} sketches with a FTHS image called Balloon Ride.

The image is colored with Promarkers. I matted it on a piece of gray cardstock. Love the shiny striped background paper that I found in my stash. Also added some gems. It's been a while since I used a border punch so decided to use one again. The Dutch sentiment says "Congratulations".

Little Snowman

Hey!

Yes, finally we have some snow. Nice to wake up to. I love snow and I still hope we can go ice skating on our canals. I loved doing that each winter when I was a little girl. Sadly our winters are warmer and have to go to the ice skating tracks to have fun on the ice. I prefer natural ice.

Here's a card I made with this months progressive free stamp of the month at From The Heart Stamps. It's called Little Snowman and I used sketch #94 from i {heart} sketches. The card is made with white linen cardstock, red and orange left over pieces of cardstock. I colored the image with Promakers and added some puffy snow to the snow and glitter to the hat and on all edges of the card. Instead of ribbon with a bow I used some bling and a felt snowflake.

Rather be Skiing Snowman

Here's my take on the card sketch w/a twist for this weeks challenge #92 at i {heart} sketches. I decided to follow the twist and that's Use Textured Paper.

The image is a From The Heart Stamps image called "Rather Be Skiing Snowman" I colored the cute snowman with Promarkers and the cardbase is linen cardstock (textured) and the blue linen cardstock went in a snowflake embossing folder through the Cuttlebug. I added some puff snow and glitter to the image and finished the card with a felt snowflake.

Winter Wishes & Snowflake Kisses

Almost the end of 2014 and one of my last cards I will make this year ;-). Here's a card I made with Sketch #91 from i {heart} sketches. I also used the twist "stitching".

The image is from FTHS and it's called Winter Friends and I colored it with Promarkers.  The white linen card base is embossed with a snowflakes embossing folder and I used 2 tones of blue stamp ink to make the flakes more visible. Made some faux stitching lines along the snowflakes paper and cardstock. The sentiment is a digi I have on my computer and the snowflake brad and pearls came from my stash.

Sketch It Up

Hey!

Welcome to a new week of our Dare to be Sassy Thursday Challenge at Sassy Studio Designs.
This week we'll be using this fun sketch.

I colored Curvy Babydoll Sassy with Promarkers and matted it on black cardstock. In the corner I stamped a corner to fill it up a little. One half is purple linen cardstock and the other half is a piece of some digi paper by Michele R. Designs. The flowers are from my stash that I've build over the years ;-). Added some glitter to her top and faux stitching and a silver corner on the purple half.

Hup Holland Hup!

Hey!

Today I made this card for my brother's birthday tomorrow. I used sketch #71 from i {heart} sketches and of course a lovely FTHS Birdbrain image called Birdbrain Football Fanatics. Don't you just adore the Birdbrain images? I sure do!!

Tonight (June 18th 2014) our Dutch soccer team will be playing their second match of the World Cup Soccer in Brazil and my brother is a real soccer fan. So with permission of the creator of the image I altered it by erasing the Football and changing the Go Team to Hup Holland Hup. I colored it with Promarkers in our National Red White Blue and of course Orange. I created some grass and distressed the sky background soft blue. Above the sentiment I placed a little soccer ball brad.

Going to the post now to send the card to my brother and get ready for tonight's game against Australia.

Today I made a fun card for one of my nephews. Love sketch #69 from i {heart} sketches.

The image is from FTHS and it's called Birdbrain Balloon. Love the Birdbrain digi's. I matted it on a piece of black paint sample from the hardware store. Love to recycle. The cardbase is white linen cardstock and the little orange, yellow and blue circles are punch outs (also linen cardstock). I used a edge punch from Avec and some gems.

Another week and a new challenge at Love to Create and it's sketch time.

I got to play with this cute image called Sophie by Kathryne and she comes with lovely sentiments.

The image is colored with promarkers and the clouds are die cuts from Memory Box. I adhered the image on top of a doily die cut from Cheery Lynn. And I die cutted the sentiment.

100% Wicked

Hey!

This week SSD is sponsoring the Feeling Sketchy challenge & Through the purple haze challenge.

As I am this months guest designer for SSD I can play allong to make examples for the sponsored challenges.

I combined the two challenges by using the "sketch" and the "challenge Book, Film or Song".

I love the musicalfilm "The Wizard of Oz" ever since I was a little girl. I loved to watch the one with Judy Garland and ofcourse the version with my idol Michael Jackson. Always was so fasinated with the "Wicked Witch of the West with her green face". 

I used a lovely SSD image and colored her with promarkers. This witch is a lot less scary than the real wicked witch. Like this sexy witch. Great for up comming Halloween.
